The Spirit of the Wood is fought as a boss during the rank 15 main quest of the Gridania Storyline in Final Fantasy XIV, Beckon of the Elementals. The player will be aided by four NPC characters, and will not be attacked unless he attacks. The Spirit is very powerful, using tier 2 elemental spells which deal very high damage to lower rank characters, making him very dangerous. Every few seconds or so, his elemental aspect will change between Water, Wind and Earth changing his resistances, weaknesses and attacks.
