The micro XT was initially an idea for micro to have a rival to the Razor Pro scooter, in the same price range and with the same kind of performance. When released, in 2009, the Micro XT was around the $500(AUS) mark compared to the Razor Pro, which was around $150(AUS). The reason for such a high price was that instead of trying to match Razor Pro in performance, Micro decided to go all out and create the toughest, best scooter they possibly could, to set the benchmark in scooter design and creation. Micro XT is a name chosen by Micro, with XT a substitute for "extreme".
