During the Human-Covenant War, Battlegroup Delta was renowned for providing defensive support during the sieges of the inner colonies. They aided with the evacuation of hundreds of thousands of civilians throughout the period, putting the civilians as priority one, over their own safety. They engaged the Covenant multiple times, most notably at the Battle of Nero, where they managed to eliminate the Covenant fleet, and evacuate all survivors offworld, before a second Covenant fleet arrived.
