The unnamed Factory Girl was a customer in the Corner Shop for barmcakes in October 1980 when the establishment was in a state of panic as young Tracy Langton had locked herself in the toilet. Alf Roberts was trying to get in through the window with Bert Tilsley's help while mother Deirdre Langton talked to her daughter through the doorway and Mavis Riley stepped in on a "busman's honeymoon" to help behind the counter. As a result of all of this, the regular barmcakes hadn't been made up. Deirdre apologised and offered to make some up, or there were pies available but the girl and her friend opted to go to the Rovers instead.
