Basso Oil Express was one of the four Basso businesses in Miami, Florida that was secretly a front for Rico Granados' gunrunning crime ring. It was run by Fred Medina. In 1959, Dominic Corleone convinced Medina to turn protection of the business to him and the Corleone family.
