The US Virginia State Contest held its first contest January 21, 2006. They hope to make it an annual event like most established state competitions. They hold contests for four divisions; Beginner (8 years old and younger), Sport Ladder (age divisions), 1A Freestyle (Virginia residents only), Open Division (anyone, any style). They also hold and record attemps at world records. Winner of the 1A division receives a seed to their US regional contest.
