Katrina Powles (b. 1984) is the pure-blood daughter of Elfric and Ariadne Powles and the twin sister of Peter Powles. Unlike her twin, Katrina showed her magical ability early in childhood. As a result her parents, and especially her mother, favored Katrina over her brother during their early years. When she was accepted to Kaaterskill Academy of Magic, Katrina was sorted into Tenskwatawa House and became an associate of Simon Brocklebank. As such, she not only antagonized her twin brother but also joined in Brocklebank's rivalry with Ethan Lloyd and his classmates in Bradbury House.
