Kakita Plains surrounded Kyuden Kakita. A memorial to the former Crane Clan Champion Doji Hotei was built after he was killed there in his madness errand by a Lion army led by the general Akodo Shakato. His heroic attitude encouraged the Crane defenders who rallied and won the day.
