Low-altitude Imperial transports—also known as LAITs—were vehicles used by the remnant of the Galactic Empire led by Grand Moff Lozen Tolruck. The design of the craft enabled the soldiers to fire while remaining on board, enabling them to attack while their ship flew by the enemy. During the initial stages of the Liberation of Kashyyyk, a LAIT manned by forest troopers ambushed Chewbacca, Jas Emari, and Han Solo in Kashyyyk's forests.
