'The Curse of Fenric' was a Doctor Who adventure broadcast towards the end of the run of the original series in 1989. Although Fenric was clearly a being like a Great Old One, the story, initially, had nothing to do with either The Cthulhu Mythos generally or The Hastur Mythos specifically until during the series' post-1989 hiatus when The New Adventures novels began to equate the various powerful beings in the series, such as Fenric, with Lovecraft's entities – Fenric being stated to be Hastur.
