The generator is powered by Cavorite, which was a material featured in "The First Men In The Moon" and "The War of The Worlds". H.G. Wells booby trapped her house with it; by running an electric current through it she increased its properties and trapped Peter Lattimer and Myka Bering on the ceiling. Pete used his Tesla to overload the generator.
