As the second daughter of Thanos, Nebula lived a life filled with neglect and abuse from her power-hungry father. Unlike her sister, Gamora, and step-brother, Star-Lord, she was the only one of Thanos' children that not only was loyal to him, but wanted desperately to please. When Thanos turned his sights on Earth, and in particular, Iron Man, Nebula saw it as a chance to prove herself as an able warrior, but was denied by Thanos.
