The Akaali homeworld was located in this system. In 2151, Enterprise NX-01 defeated a Malurian starship in this system. (ENT: "Civilization") According to the Star Trek: Star Charts (p. 54, 60) and the Stellar Cartography: The Starfleet Reference Library ("Beta Quadrant: Local Space Extract"), the Akaali (Omega Sagittarii) system was located in the Beta Quadrant. The primary was a G-class star.
