The Mission to Riesen III was a minor event that took place during the Cruentusian War. It occurred shortly after the Battle of Riesen III when the Sinya Defense Force's Supreme Commander Joe Tylars received information indicating that several SDF marines were being held prisoner on the recently contested moon. Tylars decided to dispatch a single elite commando, codenamed "Delta", to Riesen III with the purpose of rescuing the marines. Delta was successful in his assignment as he rescued most of the prisoners and single-handedly killed nearly the entire garrison of the base.
