The War of the Shining Star was a civil war within Earth's Eastern Bloc that ended in 2212. The war began as a few border disputes but eventually erupted into a civil war. The civil war began when some states inside of the Eastern Bloc wanted independence and became nation-states inside of the Eastern Bloc's federation. A notable example was the historical region of Tibet. The Tibet region of China and the Indian Consortium had a long standing border dispute since the 20th century that was never resolved. India intervened on the side of Tibet after China increased its attacks on the Tibetan people to try to put down the rebellion.
