Marie Subbarao was, until 2010, a brilliant astrophysicist, constantly pushing the envelope of our understanding of the universe further and further out into the big black. However, as "Close Encounters of the Murderous Kind" shows, someone took exception to her activities and curtailed them - permanently. Marie's body was found in her car, but was barely recognizable as it had suffered the effects of explosive decompression.
