In 24 ABY, she was captured by the notorious pirate Shiari Vane while assigned to a convoy transporting state-granted humanitarian aid to the Caspian Democratic Union, under blockade by the Imperial Navy. She was defended by HIMS Vulture and was the sole vessel captured that day. Corulag Haul was the first Republic aid vessel to defeat the Imperial blockade and was welcomed to the New Republic Embassy in Plaxton City by Ambassador Ambrosia Delgard who took possession of the ship on behalf of the New Republic.
