These mines are infested with a gaggle of hostile rogues. Fortunately, the mines aren't completely invaluable as they have a multitude of crystals for the taking. Also worthy of note is Hawethorne's Prism which can be used to complete a quest as well as a recipe book. The mines also lead to the Lair of the Creator, and also have a bunch of Spawners.
