The practice started as early as the sixth season and lasted until season 32, as the episode total number of episodes diminished in the later seasons. However the practice of recycling street scenes was re-started in season 41. Due to the addition of Elmo's World and a change in episode format, no episodes from seasons 30 and beyond would recycle plots from season 29 or earlier.
