Ainsley was one of three thieves hired by the Taelons to steal plutonium from the Granite Canyon Nuclear Plant as part of a complicated plot to test William Boone's loyalty. When the thieves tried to leave the city from the Metro Transit Station, Peter was killed and Ramon was knocked unconscious. Ainsley managed to escape with the Plutonium. Later, when Ainsley tried to leave the city by car, he was arrested by Boone and Bob Morovski at a check point.
