Enqal is a Sangheili colony as well the homeworld of the legendary Sharquoi. The colony was established several generations before the Covenant War originally intended to study the Sharquoi, as their unbelievable power impressed Covenant leaders believing them to be an incredibly powerful force on the battlefield for Covenant. Beginning around four generations before the Covenant War, Enqal had drawn a large crowd of hunters thanks to the exotic and extremely dangerous wildlife that evolved on the planet. After the Covenant War, the colony pledged their allegiance to the Swords of Sanghelios during the Sangheili Civil War.
