Loial says that he met Laefar in Tear. Laefar was in Tear to "negotiate repairs on some Ogier stonework in one of the palaces." He told Loial that the Elders had named him a runaway, and that his mother promised to have him married and settled. Loial does not doubt that Laefar will inform the Elders that he is in Tear.
