Weylos Island was an island on Mezlagob, and by 300 BBY it was the only area of the planet not consumed by the ecumenopolis, as well as the only site not connected to the rest of the planet via public transportation. The foundation of the Tetrarchy of Mezlagob saw Weylos Island again change hands, now becoming a retreat and sanctuary for the Tetrarchs. It became a target of complaints by Mezzels who felt they had not profited sufficiently from the Tetrarchy's rule. It was also widely viewed as a symbol of the Tetrarch's arrogance.
