The Third Sith Empire was a Sith faction during the Great Territorial War and the Great Sovereign Crusades, two conflicts in which the Sith fought against the Galactic Republic and the monastic Jedi Order. Having risen after the collapse of the Second Sith Empire, a collapse brought about due to internal struggles in the faction, the Third Sith Empire was the main driving force behind the beginning of the Great Territorial War.
