The orchard first appeared in Ultima V, and it was beneath its canopies that the Avatar met Terrance, who provided a way into the Resistance. In Ultima VI the orchard was still there, being tended to by the slightly disturbing Nema, whose dreams were somewhat unsettling. In Ultima VII, Figg, a tyrannical man and fanatical follower of the Fellowship, had custody of the orchard. And while he gave lots of apples to the Fellowship for free, he overpriced them for everyone else, and even called the guards to get Weston thrown into jail for the theft of a single one.
