Knuckles the Echidna is gazing into the sky, wondering when his people will return to the Floating Island, when he is joined by the Omni-Viewer, bringing with him the Chaotix Crew. Vector the Crocodile reveals they are here to look for Nack the Weasel and Espio the Chameleon states he escaped from the prison hospital where he was nursing wounds suffered from a Metallix. He somehow acquired a treasure map of the Lost Pyramid of Sandopolis and has arrived on the island. Requiring permission to search for him, Vector and the crew are joined by Knuckles and the team head to the Sandopolis Zone. Sure enough, Nack's vehicle is parked outside the pyramid, which has once again been raised from under the sand. Inside, the team are attacked by the Sandopolis Ghosts and Espio is left chilled to the b
