Epsilon IV was the fourth planet in its star system. This planet was where Captain Rudolph Ransom once encountered a hostile Klingon Bird-of-Prey. Ransom managed to elude the Klingons in a nearby nebula for three days until they gave up the chase. (VOY: "Equinox, Part II") According to the Star Trek: Star Charts (p. 62) and the Stellar Cartography: The Starfleet Reference Library ("Federation Historical Highlights, 2161-2385"), Epsilon IV was located in the Epsilon Hydrae system, in the Beta Quadrant. It was a quaternary system with three G-class stars and two K-clas stars.
