John Pettigrew was a Manticoran citizen and a petty officer of the Royal Manticoran Navy. Holding the rank of Petty Officer 2nd Class, he served aboard the destroyer HMS Tristram. After the Battle of Spindle, he was part of the boarding party commanded by Lieutenant Abigail Hearns that took control of the heavily damaged Solarian superdreadnought SLNS Charles Babbage. (HH12)
