Unpressured by China to turn to Communism, Korea does not become a war zone until 1953, under the Patton Administration. Douglas McArthur serves as General for the war's length, which stretches from 1953 to 1955. Due to the unknown qualities and destructive power of the Atomic Bomb, combined with the militant nature of the President, McArthur is given permission to use nuclear weapons on China, on Beijing. Mao Zedong is killed, along with much of the population and Maoist government. China and Korea sign an armistice with the United Nations, pledging to contain Communism within their borders.
