The East Asian Co-Prosperity Sphere was Japan's answer to the EU. It was a military alliance and economic organization. It was formed after World War 2 to help South East Asia recover from the devastation. Its members include:: Japan, China, Mongolia, India, Pakistan, Thailand, Burma, Philippines and Bhutan. Al the signatories of the Tokyo accords vowed to defend one another if attacked, and to work together on major projects, like the Space program.
