The X-COM Universe was a video game universe which includes five games, two novels, and three short stories. It is based around a paramilitary unit named Extraterrestrial Combat (shortened to X-COM) whose task it is to fight alien invasions. It was later rebooted in 2012 as the XCOM Universe.
