A hermit lives on a mountain. He always shares his bread with two pigeons, and teaches them to say "Praised be Allah!" On a second mountain, a pious shepherd falls ill. Allah sends an angel to try and seduce him, but he firmly refuses. Allah sends a pious man to him, but scares away animals and is ashamed. He stays with the shepherd and they continue to live in the shepherd's cave, praying.
