A corrupted gem is used together with 1,000 slayer reward points to upgrade a mighty slayer helmet to a corrupted slayer helmet. To upgrade the helmet, go to any slayer master with the mighty slayer helmet equipped, and the corrupted gem in the inventory. This process also requires 1000 slayer points when done the first time.
