Don McGregor is a writer and editor for Marvel Comics who edited five early issues of the Planet of the Apes Magazine. McGregor also wrote some installments of Marvel's Killraven strips that would later be altered into an Apes story - 'Apeslayer' - for inclusion in the UK Planet of the Apes comic.
