The Spirits of the Fallen are the spirits of Ascalon soldiers who died defending the Wall. They wander an ancient burial site of such soldiers just north of the Wall and southwest of Nolani looking for the the Tome of the Fallen which was taken from the site. In the bonus part of the Nolani Academy mission, players will have to fight these spirits to be able to return the tome to its place. Being insubstantial, physical attacks deal little damage, and are more vulnerable to spells, and they are fleshless, making them immune to poison, disease and bleeding. Although they are not undead, they take double damage from holy damage attacks.
