SS Russell A. Alger (MC contract 1754) was a Liberty ship that was supposed to be built in the United States during World War II. She was intended to be named after Russell A. Alger, a Michigan Senator, Governor and U.S. Secretary of War. Ordered from the Oregon Shipbuilding Corporation, Portland, Oregon, the ship was cancelled before construction.
