The track featuring Paul Gambaccini's cameo voice appearance which Peel was referring to was The Sporting Life song. The L album was not received well by critics and wasn't successful commercially. The follow up, called Freeze Frame, was received enthusiastically by Peel who described it as another good album on his 06 November 1979 show:
