An Ice Geemer is a Geemer that has adapted to a cold climate. They will appear as enemies in the forthcoming Metroid Prime: Federation Force. Seen on Excelcion, the Geemer's signature spiny husk has been replaced by a number of ice crystals, quite similar to that of a Crystallite. It is likely that as with regular Geemers in the Prime Series, the Ice Geemer will only be vulnerable to Missiles, as it was seen being destroyed with one in the March 2016 trailer.
