The blue-fronted amazon measures about 37 cm in lenght. Its plumage is green with a yellow patch on the face, and the front is blue. This parrot has red patches on shoulders and at the base of the first five primary remiges. The bill is very heavy and strong and its color is black, while feet are gray.
