Dr. Paula is a therapist who helped Brain manage his anxiety after Hurricane Sadie. Brain was initially wary of the idea of seeing a therapist, as he didn't feel he was crazy. Dr. Paula had an easygoing manner that relaxed him, noting that she would be jumpy if her office was destroyed and thus it wasn't unreasonable for him to feel jumpy about the damage to the Ice Cream Shop. After he opened up to her, he talked to her for nearly an hour at their first session. She later taught him breathing exercises to employ when he started to feel jumpy.
