A digital field is a phenomenon in the Digimon Tamers universe which occurs during the process of "bio-emerging". The digital field is explained and depicted in the series as a heavy gray fog of false proteins which are infused into any digital data (of which any being which is native to the Digital World, such as Digimon and DigiGnomes, are entirely composed) which manifests itself in physical form. The field figures prominently in the series as a symbol or precursor to a fight between an enemy and a Digimon-Tamer team.
