Versex is a land rich in mineral wealth but stricken with land unsuited to farming so gains most of it wealth through mining and its traders plying the waters of Avalon Bay and the wider Lake Encarthan. Most of the communities of Versex are small, insular little settlements with people none to fond of outside interference, this insular nature has been fostered by Count Haserton Lowls IV who has little interest in ruling the land and has diseminated power to smaller local mayors and magistrates. There are two main exceptions the bustling lakeside port of Rozenport and the strange city of Carrion Hill which sits atop an ancient mound, no one knows why people live atop Carrion Hill but as far back as any one can remember people always have.
