The Gate is an esoteric structure that is actually a dangerous interdimensional gateway between worlds and the location of the final area in Shadow Hearts: From the New World. It's function is to create, open and stabilize a portal to the world of Malice, and to allow creatures from that dimension access to Earth. It is the entrance to the the Malice realm's first area known only as Beyond the Gate which leads directly to the world's core, the Malice Umbrella.
