File:Quake1.gif File:Globe.png The QuakeLab is a team of level designers that has created levels for Quake since September of 1996. They focused on map design and components, the latter often being showcased by text files giving detailed instructions on designing said features. The QuakeLab also tended to include test maps so that the developer could have an example of a functional version of whatever is being designed. Unlike many other places that focused on level design, The QuakeLab did not focus on a specific piece of level design software, instead preferring to remain generalized to be compatible with all editors.
