The Awrey Fire Protection Team was a fire service in Awrey Township, located between Wahnapithae and Markstay in Sudbury District. The Awrey area was not organized as a municipality, and the team was formed under the auspices of the Ontario Fire Marshal. The OFM provided equipment and training. In 1999, municipal restructuring saw the previously-unorganized Awrey become part of the Municipality of Markstay-Warren, and the fire team part of the Markstay-Warren Fire Department.
