The Prosecution Barrister was present at Gary Windass's trial for the assault of David Platt, heard at Weatherfield Crown Court in March 2009. Under oath, David lied about the incident and told the court that Gary had been the one responsible for starting their fight. Upon taking the stand, David's girlfriend Tina McIntyre testified that David had thrown the first punch but Gary and his uncle Len had been provoking David for months. Gary was subsequently found "not guilty" of malicious wounding.
