Muncher Marathon is a cavern-themed stage in Donkey Kong Country Returns. It is the stage before the boss stage of the Forest world on Donkey Kong Island. This stage is unique because of a swarm of Munchers that swarm behind the Kongs, engulfing them if the Kongs fall behind. This is one of the hardest stages in the game (more for the collection of the K-O-N-G letter and Puzzle Pieces rather than the actual completion of the stage). Enemies here also include Frogoons, Hopgoons and Skittlers.
