New World Novelties was a trading post on Drogeo Island of the Malachite Ocean. Its name is a pun on the brave new world which was a hot spot for trading and colonization in the 16th century. This was the first, and currently only, trading post on the Malachite Ocean. The naming for this building was a particularly messy process, as Barely Dressed went through several rounds of voting, just after the release. Columbian Exchange, Marco Polo's Pawnshop, Northwest Passage, and Sir Scott's Swap Shop were some of the runner-ups.
