The Ilyrian Gnat-class Sprint Freighter is a merchant ship made by SubPro. It is theoretically designed for express interstellar deliveries of small, time-sensitive cargos. It has has been something of a controversial design for SubPro - its fighter-like lines and high thrust sublight drives are not strictly the most efficient for cargo service. Also, like the much larger Lightning-class Sloop, it has been observed that many of the Gnat's characteristics appeal to a less than legal market.
