Sesame Workshop's legal department took action, according to Sarah Beth Erb: "Our legal team has sent a cease and desist letter to the website selling them, will monitor the site, and follow up accordingly to make sure the items in question are removed." Instead of removing items, they were simply renamed. In 2013, the site continued to sell knockoffs under generic names, but added Disguise's licensed teen girl costumes.
